We are fixated on improving the email experience. Currently, email software is filled with features, but thin on philosophy. Without guiding principles, everyone is left to fend for themselves. People just do not know how they can get better at email, and existing software is not helping.
What’s missing is a completely new philosophy of email. And, that’s where we come in!
AstroRocket would allow us to replace messy hacks and daily annoyances with simple organization, creative designs, workflows, and clever features that upgrade email in meaningful ways. You will control your email, it won’t control you.
AstroRocket will first be available on web and later on iOS and Android.
Job Description
We have an immediate opening for a CTO and full stack engineer to help build the strong foundation of our product and oversee future builds. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and tactical; someone who is ready to work and can get their hands dirty, build out our product, and also delegate and roadmap effectively based on user pain points, needs, and wants.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements
As a CTO and primary member of the technical staff at AstroRocket, your responsibilities include but are not limited to, architecting the core application components, determining deployment strategies, and being a core decision maker in technical aspects at AstroRocket.
AstroRocket is seeking someone who is capable and has a strong fundamental understanding of concepts such as:
– Cloud Technologies and Services (AWS, GCP)
– Native Mobile Application Development
– Modern Web Application Development
– Database Management
– Role-based access control and data safety
You will also be responsible for coordinating the growth of AstroRocket in a technical sense. In this capacity, you will need to have an understanding of the following skills.
– API Management
– Database Administration
– Server Administration (Cloud or On-Prem) for Deployment
– Knowledge of robust languages and frameworks like Python or Node.js
– Git or other version control
– DevOps strategies with a full understanding of CI/CD
– Cloud Service Provider related Products- AWS
– Lambda
– API Gateway
– RDS
– DynamoDB
– Cognito
Compensation
This role is co-founder level. Compensation will be pure equity. Once we raise our full seed round, salary will be commensurate with experience. When we make this a huge success, you will see tremendous upside. We already have some investors from Mucker Capital and other angel investors in the Los Angeles area that are eager and ready for an MVP.
